BCBSRI's Wellness Van Visits Local Beaches for Sun Screening Events

Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island (BCBSRI) is sending its Community Wellness Van to various beaches this summer to offer beach-goers free sun safety screenings. The screenings use DermaView technology that analyzes an individual's face for sun damage. Participants will be given information on proper sunscreen use along with free samples of sunscreen.

The Community Wellness Van will be at the following beaches from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on:

  • July 10 – Misquamicut Beach, Westerly

    (Rain date: July 17)

  • August 7 – Narragansett Town Beach, Narragansett

    (Rain date: August 14)

  • August 21 – Scarborough State Beach, Narragansett

    (Rain date: August 28)
