Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island to Offer Bone Density Screening

(Providence, RI, 12.1.2011)

Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island (BCBSRI) will soon hold a bone density screening. There is no charge for the screening and all members of the public are invited to participate.

The event will take place on Tuesday, December 13, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Crossroads, 160 Broad Street, Providence.

Early detection of low bone density can help assess a person's risk for osteoporosis. BCBSRI's quick, simple test uses ultrasound to measure the density of a person's heel bone. Handouts and individual consultations will be provided.

Registration for this BCBSRI screening event is not required.
