PROVIDENCE, RI (April 11, 2012) – Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island (BCBSRI) will soon hold a bone density screening. There is no charge for the screening, and all members of the public are invited to participate.
The event will take place on Wednesday, April 25, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Saint Edwards Food Pantry and Wellness Center, 1001 Branch Avenue, Providence.
Early detection of low bone density can help assess a person’s risk for osteoporosis. BCBSRI’s quick, simple test uses ultrasound to measure the density of a person’s heel bone. Handouts and individual consultations will be provided.
Registration for this BCBSRI screening event is not required.
