Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island Welcomes New Clinical Leadership

Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island (BCBSRI) today announced the addition of two new members to its leadership team. Matt Collins, M.D. is the company’s new vice president of clinical integration, and Katherine Dallow, M.D. joins as vice president of clinical affairs.

Collins is a primary care physician who most recently served as senior director of medical affairs at Fallon Community Health Plan in Massachusetts. Prior to Fallon, he was medical director of Neighborhood Health Plan in Massachusetts. Collins brings deep expertise in designing and implementing care models across Commercial, Medicare and Medicaid populations. Collins earned his MD from Howard University College of Medicine, and his MBA from the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He is currently an assistant professor at the University of Massachusetts Medical School.

Dallow comes to BCBSRI from Beth Israel Deaconess Care Organization, where she served as medical director for managed care. Her areas of expertise include commercial contract management, quality metric analysis and performance, pharmacy cost management, high risk care management and medical coding. She also serves as an assistant professor of medicine at Harvard University. Dr. Dallow earned her MD from Jefferson Medical College, and an MPH with a focus on health care management from the Harvard School of Public Health.
