Rhode Islanders will soon have access to a new digital tool offering more information about health insurance as well as the ability to purchase coverage. Click With Me Now, the one-click, no download web sharing technology, and Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island are joining forces to provide this technology to all Rhode Islanders, company officials announced today from the AHIP Institute conference in Las Vegas.
Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island will become the nation’s first health insurance plan to offer Rhode Islanders the ability to use the Click With Me Now tool when shopping for and making important decisions regarding their health insurance options.
Click With Me Now allows consumers to safely, securely and easily share enabled web sites (including bcbsri.com) in real time, without the need for registration or software downloads. This real-time experience gives users the comfort, confidence and security of sharing their web session with family, friends and trusted advisors to easily obtain advice and guidance when making important online buying decisions, such as health insurance.
“BCBSRI is committed to looking ahead and providing innovative solutions for our members,” said Jim Gallagher, vice president of marketing for BCBSRI. “The Click With Me Now tool is one more way that we’re empowering consumers to get the direction and support they need to make choosing and enrolling in a plan as simple as possible.”
By providing Click With Me Now on bcbsri.com, Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island will be helping consumers better research their health insurance plan options. Consumers will be able to obtain guidance and support from advisors and friends in order to make an educated decision. In addition, consumers will be able to get real time support from a company agent to help them in their decision and enrollment process.
“Click With Me Now will help Rhode Islanders ensure they select the health insurance plan that best meets their needs,” said Corey McCarty, managing director of strategic marketing and innovation. “They will have increased access to guidance from trusted advisors, and be able to purchase and enroll in plans from the comfort of their home, on their own timetable.”
Click With Me Now will be available on the Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island web site (www.bcbsri.com
) this fall in time for enrollment deadlines. Click With Me Now is launching its fully functional service this quarter. The company is also competing in the Techweek LAUNCH start up competition in Chicago on June 28.
“We are thrilled to see a health insurance plan have such foresight and be so committed to making the plan selection and enrollment process much easier for their members,” said Brian Handrigan, co-founder and CEO of Click With Me Now. “By making health insurance more approachable for every consumer, Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island has the vision and commitment that is setting the bar for other health insurance plans nationwide.”
Click With Me Now first introduced its technology at the fall 2012 DEMO in Silicon Valley, one of the most prestigious and selective tech launch pads. In addition, the company was selected to compete in the SxSW Accelerator Awards in the spring of 2013 and gained a strong following after notable media call outs from outlets such as Inc., Mashable and Fox Business News.
