Medicare's Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) for the upcoming 2012 plan year will conclude on December 7. Based on federal guidelines, this AEP is the only time members can switch plans. Members should note that the Medicare Annual Disenrollment Period will begin January 1 and conclude on February 14. During this time members can only switch to Original Medicare and choose to enroll in a Medicare Supplement plan and/or a Medicare prescription drug plan if they are not currently enrolled in one.
