Ms. Lederberg is overseeing the change in Blue Cross’s relationships with some of our key external stakeholders—including government, community, and business leaders—by collaborating on the implementation of healthcare reform.
Ms. Lederberg is responsible for many of Blue Cross’s relationships in the community through her oversight of government relations, community relations, and public relations. She is also responsible for ensuring that Blue Cross meets obligations for corporate social responsibility and maintains the highest legal and ethical standards. In this role, she oversees corporate compliance and ethics, information security, and audit and risk management.
Before coming to Blue Cross in 1999, Ms. Lederberg was in private law practice, specializing in healthcare transactions. Ms. Lederberg received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Brown University and her Juris Doctor degree from Boston University School of Law. She holds a Master’s degree in Public Health from Boston University School of Health, and is a graduate of Leadership Rhode Island. In 2010, Ms. Lederberg won the Providence Business News Women to Watch Award.
Ms. Lederberg is a member of the Board of Directors of the Jewish Family Service of Rhode Island and the Rhode Island Community Food Bank. She had previously served on a number of other community boards.
