2021 New and Enhanced Benefits
See the new and enhanced benefits in our Medicare Advantage plans, like the improved $0 fitness benefit and an easy-to-use over-the-counter (OTC) benefit.
Curious about the changes we’ve made to our 2021 benefits?
Hi, I’m Mike Foster from Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island.
I’m here to tell you about our new and enhanced benefits that provide even more convenience, flexibility, and savings.
First, let’s start with a new benefit, the Insulin Savings Program.
Members will pay a low $35 monthly insulin copay that will remain consistent through the coverage gap.
We’ve added a new $50 annual caregiver reimbursement benefit, we’re partnering with the Alzheimer's Association on a new Dementia Care
Coordination Program, and we’re launching a new Peer Recovery Program as well.
We’ve also made some exciting enhancements, starting with our over-the-counter benefit, which is getting a serious upgrade for 2021!
Members will get a debit card loaded with money to use on a wide range of health-related items at any of these stores nationwide.
We’ve also made our $0 national gym benefit even better by adding a variety of home fitness kits, as well as offering continued access to fitness centers across the country.
We’ve expanded our transportation benefit to provide rides to community locations like senior centers, libraries, and Your Blue Stores, as well as doctors’ appointments.
And to help members get access to needed care from the comfort of their own homes, we’ve expanded our $0 Doctors Online telehealth benefit to include therapists, as well as doctors.
I hope you’re as excited as we are about our new and enhanced benefits!
We understand you still may have questions.
We’re happy to help!
