Frequently asked questions

Who is eligible to earn wellbeing incentives?

Through December 31, 2026, all benefit-eligible employees, regardless of whether they are eligible for the BCBSRI Brown University Health plans or the IBT Benefit Plan, are eligible to earn the equivalent of up to $100 in gift cards. Employees do not need to be enrolled in benefits to participate. Spouses enrolled in the BCBSRI Brown University Health Plan can redeem points for sweepstakes entries.

How do I enroll if I do not have BCBSRI coverage?

A letter will arrive via mail with your "wellness-only" member ID. Please use this unique ID during registration. If you do not receive a letter, call the Brown University Health Employee CARE Center at: (401) 429-2102 (locally) or 1-866-987-3706 (outside RI).

What can I use my earned points for?

Points earned can be redeemed for gift cards in the Rewards Center. You can also use earned points for quarterly sweepstakes entries in the Rewards Center. Points do not carry a cash value, and any unused points will expire after December 31, 2026.

I earned points from January 1 to June 30 of this year. Where will those points go?

Any unredeemed points earned between January 1, 2026 and June 30, 2026 will carry over until December 31, 2026 and can count toward your new incentives. 

Will I be able to sync an activity tracker?

BlueCare Connect syncs with most commonly used tracking devices and apps (FitBit™, Garmin®, Apple®, Samsung®, Google Fit™, and others).

How do I redeem my points for a gift card?

Confirm that your email address associated with your BlueCare Connect account is correct. Go to Settings and click Communication Preferences to review. Message a customer service care guide if it is incorrect. Updates take 24-48 hours.

Select Rewards and tap the Reward Center. Go to the Gift Cards section and choose the e-gift card you'd like to redeem.

Check your email for a rewards redemption email from Rewards Center (noreply@tangocard.com).

When do my points reset?

Points reset on January 1 each year.

Will my gift card expire?

Target and Amazon gift cards do not expire. Virtual Visa gift cards must be used within six months from the time you receive your email link.
