Your personal well-being program

You work to help others. You face the demands of COVID every day, even beyond the normal pressures of your job. When you’re not working, you may be providing care for parents or children at home.

Now, you have help. Living Well, Lifespan’s new employee well-being program, will provide tools and resources to help you live well—and you can earn rewards for doing so. You earn rewards for activities that take care of your physical and emotional health each day. Whether it’s the steps you take on the job or activities you do after work, you will be rewarded for taking care of yourself.

Registration is easy, and you can learn more about the platform through virtual demonstrations and live chats during open “office hours” with our partner in this initiative, Virgin Pulse.

Through your Total Rewards for a Total You, this program is open to all benefit eligible employees, regardless of whether you are eligible for the Lifespan Benefit Plan or the IBT Benefit Plan. Employees do not need to be enrolled in benefits to participate. This program is also open to spouses enrolled in the Lifespan Health Plan.

Whil: Focus on your health and well-being

Along with the Virgin Plus wellness platform, Living Well includes a special package of in-the-moment, self-service programs to help you achieve and maintain optimum mental and emotional support through Whil. Meditation, mindfulness, guided imagery, and more are available to you when you need them most.

    • Choose which habits you want to reinforce and track them daily.
  • View a Whil video
    • Watch a daily 5-minute video that can help you ease stress.
  • Participate in a Healthy Habit Challenge
    • You'll find a new challenge each month.

You also can earn rewards for healthy activities like tracking your steps and seeing your doctor for your annual wellness visit.

Sign up in 3 simple steps

  1. Go to the Virgin Pulse website or download the Virgin Pulse app at the Apple App store or Google Play.*
  2. Choose Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island_Lifespan as your sponsor.
  3. Fill out your profile to get started. Connect your Fitbit, smartphone, or other wearable device to track and sync your steps with the app (optional).

Former Coastal Medical Employees: You will need to create a new account, even if you had one previously, using a different email address.

Get your rewards

All Lifespan employees can take part in the Living Well program. You and your spouse can earn quarterly rewards that can be redeemed at the Virgin Pulse online store, or used at retailers like Amazon.com® and Nike®.

Employee: up to $50 per quarter
Spouse: up to $25 per quarter
