Access provides low-cost prescription drugs and a $0 monthly premium for those who receive a Low-Income Subsidy (Extra Help). Eligible members may also qualify for a grocery benefit and additional savings on their out-of-pocket costs.*

The Low-Income Subsidy program (Extra Help)
Medicare's Extra Help program helps people with limited income and resources pay Part D premiums, deductibles, and copays. If you qualify for Extra Help, your monthly premium for the Access plan drops to $0. You'll also have a $0 prescription deductible and $0-$14.40 copays on prescription drugs.

*The grocery and High-Value Provider benefits are Special Supplemental Benefits for the Chronically Ill (SSBCI). You may be eligible for SSBCI if you are enrolled in BlueCHiP for Medicare Access (HMO-POS) and live with one or more qualifying chronic condition(s), as defined by CMS, including but not limited to chronic heart failure, chronic lung diseases, dementia, diabetes mellitus, and frailty & fall risk. BlueCHiP for Medicare Access members must also receive a Low-Income Subsidy (also called Extra Help). Receiving these benefits is not solely determined by your condition(s); all relevant eligibility criteria must be satisfied before benefits are available for use.
