Effective September 1, 2019, CPT 97610, low frequency, non-contact, non-thermal ultrasound, including topical application(s), when performed, wound assessment, and instruction(s) for ongoing care, per day will be not covered for BlueCHiP for Medicare and not medically necessary for commercial products.
