Learn more about BCBSRI programs at one of our seminars

One of the goals of our Provider Relations team is to find new and different ways to connect with our participating provider community. One brand new way we’re doing that will happen in October, when we’ll offer a series of Provider Relations seminars.

All of our providers and staffs are welcome to attend these informational seminars, where you can learn about many new and ongoing BCBSRI programs available to your patients. Topics to be covered will include 2020 Medicare plans and updates; changes to our specialist referral tool; our new MHK prior authorization system (which is going live on September 23; read more about that in this issue); helpful hints for working with our provider call center and handling corrected claims; the new electronic attestation option on bcbsri.com; an overview of our Provider Manual; and many others.

We’ll offer three seminars, and all of them will be hosted at one of our Your Blue Store℠ retail locations. If you haven’t been to one of our Your Blue Stores yet, that’s another great reason for you to come – you (and your patients) will find convenient, personal service and answers face-to-face, plus free fitness and health classes like yoga and nutrition, free member meetings, and so much more.

Here’s the seminar schedule…all three seminars will begin at 9:00 a.m.:

Wednesday, October 2

Your Blue Store East Providence

Highland Commons

71 Highland Avenue

East Providence

Thursday, October 3

Your Blue Store Warwick

300 Quaker Lane, #17

Warwick

Tuesday, October 8

Your Blue Store Lincoln

622 George Washington Hwy., A-06

Lincoln

Want to attend (and we hope you do)? Just RSVP to ProviderRelationsSeminars@bcbsri.org and include your name, the office you are representing, how many people will be attending, and the date/location of your preferred seminar. We hope to see you, but if you can’t make it, don’t worry…we’ll record one of the seminars and will post it on the bcbsri.com Provider portal later in October.

In the meantime, please let us know if there are any other ways we can work to keep you informed about our products and services. As always, we appreciate your feedback and your partnership
