Starting January 1, 2021, all BlueCHiP for Medicare plans include an over-the-counter (OTC) benefit program enhancement. Pulse oximeters are included as part of this OTC benefit.
All BCBSRI Medicare Advantage members will receive a debit card loaded with $25-$200/quarter (depending on the plan – see the chart below) to purchase a wide range of health-related items such as cold remedies and personal care items. This benefit is now redeemable in-person at the following national retail stores:

- Dollar General
- Family Dollar
- Rite Aid
- Walgreens
- CVS Pharmacy®
