The IRS recently announced another change to HSA contributions that may have an impact on employees of our mutual clients. Effective January 1, 2019, the HSA contribution limit for:
• Family plans is increasing by $100, from $6,900 to $7,000
• Individual plans is increasing by $50, from $3,450 to $3,500
Employer groups will receive a communication about this directly from London Health Administrators, the HSA third-party administrator for Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island.
