Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island to Offer Free Blood Pressure Screenings

(Providence, RI, 3.16.2011)

Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island (BCBSRI) will sponsor free blood pressure screening on Tuesday, March 29, from 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. at Crossroads Rhode Island, 160 Broad Street, Providence. All members of the public are encouraged to attend.

High blood pressure is one of the most common chronic conditions in adults, usually occurring without symptoms but resulting in serious health consequences if left untreated. Some of these risks include heart, kidney, and vision complications. This BCBSRI sponsored event will help Rhode Islanders determine if they suffer from high blood pressure and provide them with information on how to treat the condition.

No previous registration for the BCBSRI screening is required.
