Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island to Offer Free Bone Density Screening in May

PROVIDENCE, RI (May 15, 2012) – Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island (BCBSRI) will soon hold a free bone density screening.  All members of the public are invited to participate.

The event will take place on Tuesday, May 29, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the St. Martin de Porres Center, 160 Cranston Street, Providence.

Early detection of low bone density can help assess a person’s risk for osteoporosis.  BCBSRI’s quick, simple test uses ultrasound to measure the density of a person’s heel bone.  Handouts and individual consultations will be provided.

Registration is not required for this BCBSRI screening event.
