Hypertension, also known as high blood pressure, is referred to as a silent disease because it often has no signs or symptoms, and many people don't realize they have it. If left untreated, hypertension can lead to a heart attack, stroke, or kidney failure. To find out your blood pressure, visit the BCBSRI blood pressure screening event for a five-minute blood pressure test.
