Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island (BCBSRI) today announced that it has again been recognized for its Choices magazine, most recently with a Stevie Award in the 2009 American Business Awards competition. Choices, BCBSRI's quarterly publication dedicated to promoting health and wellness, is distributed to more than 280,000 member households.
"We are very proud of Choices and the quality of relevant and current information the publication provides to our members," said Christopher Medici, chief communications officer of BCBSRI. "Our goal is to help all of our members make educated decisions about their health and that of their families. The recognition of Choices by the American Business Awards reinforces the fact that our members value this resource."
Since 2002, the American Business Awards have been the only national, all-encompassing business awards program in the United States. The Stevie Awards were created to honor and generate public recognition of the achievements and positive contributions of organizations and business people worldwide.
This year, more than 2,600 entries from companies of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted for consideration in more than 40 categories. More than 200 executives across the country participated in the judging process to determine the finalists and Stevie Award winners.
Including the Stevie Award, Choices has received nine awards in 2009 for writing and design excellence. To read recent issues of Choices magazine online, click here.
