Three Free Blood Pressure Screening Events from Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island

(Providence, RI, 3.30.2011)

Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island (BCBSRI) will hold three free blood pressure screening sessions during the month of April. All members of the public are invited to attend.

The three screenings will take place as follows:

  • Wednesday, April 6, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Calcutt Middle School, 112 Washington Street, Central Falls.
  • Tuesday, April 19, from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Ralph J. Holden Community Center, 361 Cowden Street, Central Falls.
  • Saturday, April 23, from noon to 2:00 p.m. at Rhodes on the Pawtuxet, 60 Rhodes Place, Cranston.

High blood pressure is one of the most common chronic conditions in adults. It is important to screen regularly for high blood pressure as it is usually symptomless and causes serious health risks if left untreated. These BCBSRI events will provide Rhode Islanders with a quick, efficient way to check their blood pressure levels and get educated in how to keep blood pressure under control.

No previous registrations for these BCBSRI screenings are required.
