Effective January 1, 2023, all existing and new BlueRI for Duals (D-SNP) members received new ID cards which no longer display the plan’s copays or coinsurance. D-SNP members now have a 20% coinsurance on some services such as PCP visits (excluding annual physical) and medical services related to dental, X-rays, Part B medications, and Part B DME supplies. Any D-SNP copay or coinsurance should be billed to and covered in full by Medicaid. If you are not an approved Medicaid provider and are unable to submit your claim from BCBSRI to Medicaid, you will not be allowed to bill the member for the copay/coinsurance.
