New CMS Hospital Bill Type/Class (087) as Outpatient

BCBSRI has updated our system to reflect the new CMS Hospital Bill Type/Class (087) that becomes effective 1/1/2021. 

  • New CMS Hospital Bill Type/Class (087) as Outpatient (5.70.R4 Retrofit)
    • BCBSRI system will be modified for the new Hospital Bill Class/Type, effective January 1, 2021, to treat the new code as Outpatient for the purpose of Claim/UM Matching and DOFR.
