Providers who move out of state

If you are a participating provider with BCSBRI and are moving out of state, you cannot practice if you are located out of our service area. For example: If you are a provider and have a RI License and a Texas License practicing in Texas, you cannot render services and file your claims to BCBSRI directly. They must be filed to your local of where you are currently located. This is for in person and telemedicine visits. You must terminate your contract with BCBSRI.

If it is found that you are practicing out of our service area, you will be sent a termination letter, allowing you 90 days to transfer your patients to another provider within your office.
