Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island (BCBSRI) will hold two free blood pressure screenings in June. The screenings will be held:
7 Thomas P. Whitten Way in Providence, from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m.
102 High Street in Pawtucket, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Hypertension, also known as high blood pressure, is referred to as a silent disease because it often has no signs or symptoms, and many people don't realize they have it. If left untreated, hypertension can lead to a heart attack, stroke, or kidney failure. To find out your blood pressure, visit one of the BCBSRI blood pressure screening events for a five-minute blood pressure test.
All members of the public are invited to participate.
As schedules are subject to change, please visit our Community Wellness Events Calendar for updates.
