Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island (BCBSRI) will hold two free blood pressure screening sessions in May. All members of the public are invited to attend.
The first screening will be held on Saturday, May 7, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Roger Williams State Park Carousel, Providence. The second event will take place on Saturday, May 21, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Colt State Park, Bristol.
High blood pressure, also known as hypertension, is one of the most common chronic conditions in adults. Since uncontrolled high blood pressure can result in serious health problems such as heart attacks or strokes, it is important to check this vital regularly. Attendees of the BCBSRI screening events will learn how to easily check their blood pressure levels and find out what steps they can take to keep it under control.
No previous registrations for these BCBSRI screenings are required.
